About Me

Sam boxingMy name is Samantha. I have worked in the fitness industry since 2002, with experience in gym instruction, circuit training and as a class instructor. I have been working with Total Fitness as a personal trainer since 2006 .

I help people achieve their ideal weight and overcome back, neck, shoulder and knee pain. I also help people in their attempts to achieve a life of total wellbeing and balance with exercise and nutrition.

I specialise in female health and wellbeing, as there are many differences that have to be considered when adapting training techniques and long term programming for females, compared to that of training males.

Qualifications and Experience

My on-going mission is to upgrade my level of knowledge and expertise of fitness, wellness, and nutrition training.

I have a BTEC sports science diploma and a BSc degree in Sports Performance from Liverpool John Moores University. After graduating from university I returned to college to completed a health and fitness diploma covering, circuit training, exercise to music, gym instruction, fitness testing and sports massage.

I qualified as a master trainer in personal training in 2006 when I studied a diploma in Sydney Australia with the Australian Institute of Fitness. The course covered a large scale of subjects in nutrition, specialist and advanced programming, core strengthening, pre and post pregnancy, special populations, one to one training, rehabilitation and sports conditioning.

More recently, I have completed a qualification through the C.H.E.K institute called "Equal but not the same, considerations for training females".
